I would like to be able to draw a horizontal line and know the exact price level it is at as I drag the line on the chart. I can do this using the Chart Calculator Tool, but when I drop the line into place, the Chart Calculator tool places unwanted text information on the chart. I haven't been able to find a way to prevent Chart Calculator text from appearing, or, in the alternative, another way to accomplish placing the line with precise price information.

Does anyone know of a simple way of accomplishing what I am trying to do? Presently, I use the cross hair tool, after initially placing the line, to check price level. However, that is a cumbersome procedure that often requires several tries before I get it just right. Thanks much for any help. |

You just need to look at the Tool Values window or the Compact Tool Values window as you draw the line: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_Tools.html#ViewingToolandChartData It will show the Y axis value of the line as you draw it.
