Am in New York time zone. Have data services set to Chicago time zone. Have Chart Settings/Advanced Settings/Time Zone:Chicago time zone.Have Global Symbol Settings set to Chicago time zone. Chart is E-Mini S&P500. For Chart Settings/Main Settings/Session Times: Start Time: 08:30:00 End Time: 15:59:59 (or 15:14:59) Evening Start: 17:00:00 (or 15:59:59) Evening End Time: 08:29:59 Starting at 17:00, no positions or working orders. Any working orders in place before 18:00 are cancelled at 18:00:01, according to the chart time. A new position is not affected. It seems the Trade Window considers 17:00 the start of the next day, which it is, but is using New York time, which is my system time,as 17:00 Chicago time is 18:00 New York time. I haven't been able to figure out why it does this. I put partial trade log below. The time to cancel simulated Day orders is going depend upon the Session Times set through the Global Symbol Settings for the symbol. Refer to: Global Symbol Settings We see you are running an older version of Sierra Chart and you need to update to the current version for the proper functioning of this because there was a change made recently. I appreciate your reply. I had gone to Documentation, starting with "Basic Trading and Trade Window":"Main>>TimeinForce(Time in Force)", link to "Time in Force for Simulation", link to "Global Symbol Settings". I had failed to mention that the Start and End times in Global System Settings was the same as I showed for Chart Settings/Main Settings/Session Times. Did not change any settings. As suggested, I went to Help/Download Current Version. This upgraded me to version 1919, from 1853. Now the "Day" setting works as it is described in the documentation. Thank you. |
