I have activated under Global Setting >>general trade settings>> Notification >> Play Alert When Target Filled and Play Alert When Stop Filled but when my limits or stops get hit, I do not get any audio alert. I have my wav file identified and tested in the general settings tab and volume levels are set. Can someone tell me if how to get the files to play? Thanks.. Update: If I select Play when order filled(others) set to alert then it plays the sound. But the above selections listed still do not play. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-11-26 15:43:57

We have tested this and we do not see a problem as long as you have set up the proper Alert Sound files for the particular Alert Numbers selected for the Target and Stop alerts. When you expect the sound, look in Window >>Show/Hide Alerts Manager >> Alerts Log and see if you see a line for the Alert message. Update: The sounds played fine when I selected order filled(others)under release 1046 on another PC. I had set to Alert 10 and Alert 11 and they played fine for target and stop . They do not play or list found in the alerts log with the PC that has release 1051 installed. Is there something else I can try?

We have tested this, and the alert sounds work just fine in simulated trading . We did a test using a replay. We do not see why it would matter, but update to version 1059 and see if it makes a difference. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Support, I am noww on version 1077 and I cannot get the limit and stop orders when filled to play sound or log the alert. I am running live and have attempted several times to get them to play with no avail. I did notice that Sierra is not listed in the sound mixer, which i guess is controlled under system sounds. Can someone make themselves available for remote support? thanks |

Just so that we are completely clear, when you expect the sound, do you see a message added to the Window >> Show/Hide Alerts Manager >> Alerts Log tab? If so, select the line that should have caused the sound to play and then select Edit >> Copy Selection and paste it here. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Are you doing simulated trades during a replay?

This is during both simulated and live trading target/stop alerts. It makes no difference. I am getting other alerts for other example bid/ask size over a certain size.

I got it to work using OCO orders instead of just regular stop/limit orders. Thanks |

OK, this explains it. So it sounds like you were not using the Attached Orders feature documented here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_AttachedOrders.html Now it makes sense. Because otherwise this whole thing was rather puzzling to us. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
