Hello, Is there a fast way to open an intraday chart for all symbols in a quote spreadsheet? That list may change everyday, so ideally I'd re-populate the chartbook with a new set of charts every day. Approx 20 symbols. |

No but there is a way to do this using Associated Watch List for a chart: Changing the Symbol of a Chart: Changing Multiple Charts Symbols Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thank you for the support, but if I understand correctly: 1. that method doubles my pre-market workflow: once: import new symbol list into quote spreadsheet twice: import new symbols list into associated watchlist 2. And overall, it is not effective. Mainly due to this: Otherwise, if there are fewer charts than the number of symbols, then only the symbols that can fit into the charts will be updated. If there are more charts than the number of symbols, then the remaining charts after the symbols have been updated will not change from the symbol they originally had. If a symbol is no longer on the watchlist, I want the chart to be deleted as well. If a new symbol is added to the watchlist, I want a new chart to be created for it. Also, I would have to manually associate the watchlist with every chart in the chartbook, or, remember which is the 'parent chart"... the one that owns the associated watchlist. And I can't delete that chart. => it would be much easier if watchlists were saveable independent objects within a chartbook, rather than being attached to a chart. |

Thank you. I am now making external .txt symbol list files and using them. Is there any fast way to import them into a Quote Spreadsheet, in the same manner as Quote Board > "Load Symbols List"? No but there is a way to do this using Associated Watch List for a chart:
Changing the Symbol of a Chart: Changing Multiple Charts Symbols Problem: if a Chartbook has a Trade DOM open, then one of the symbols from the Associated Symbols list will be allocated to that Trade DOM (bc SC treats Trade DOMS as charts). IMO, "Set Charts to Symbols" should ignore Trade DOMs. And a second option "Set Trade DOM to Symbols" should be offered". I can see that both are useful, but not combined.
