I have a spreadsheet for Trading ready and i want to open a new Study "Spreadheet System for Trading" and rebind the existing Spreadsheet to it. I tried it in Study Settings with open spreadsheet, but it appears an empty spreadsheet with the existing name. Is it an error and how can I solve it?

You just need to set the Spreadsheet Name setting in the Study Settings window for the Spreadsheet System for Trading study: Chart Studies: Settings and Inputs Tab >> Spreadsheet Name / DLL File and Function Name Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. It is what i explained, this is not working. In the "Study Settings" of "Spreadheet System for Trading" study in the field "Spreadsheet Name" -> "select" -> open spreadsheet. when I open my existing spreadsheet in this way, it opens a new "spreadsheet System for Trading" spreadsheet, whith the same name like the existing, but empty.

Are the files for these two open Spreadsheet windows, in the same folder?

The new empty file I didnt want to save, because maybe my file would be overwritten. So there is just one file with this name in this folder.

We verified that the spreadsheets are working properly. Most likely what you are running into is that when you add a Spreadsheet Study to a chart, the default settings are to create a new Sheet in the spreadsheet that corresponds to the Chart Number of the chart that added the Spreadsheet Study. For example, when you add a Spreadsheet to Chart #1, it will create a sheet within that Spreadsheet that is called Sheet 1. If you then add a Spreadsheet Study to Chart #3 and use the same spreadsheet file as was added to Chart #1, then that spreadsheet will now have a Sheet 3 in it that is for Chart #3. All of this is explained here: Spreadsheet Study Inputs: Chart Data Output Sheet Number Try what you are doing again, and once you have the studies setup on your two charts, go into the spreadsheet and note that there should be 2 sheets in that spreadsheet. You can find the sheets listed in the upper left corner. Refer to the following for where this is located: Working with Spreadsheets: Activating and Viewing (Selecting) Sheets within a Spreadsheet For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
