I have been through the documentation and watched the video and was wondering why you have the Bid Dominant and Ask Dominant as the same default colour? Is it safe to assume that a large order on the bid is a sell order? I've seen some people colour the Bid Dominant Green and ohers colour it red which has left me a bit confused, I'm sorry I know it's not a technical question but I was hoping you could shed some light on it. |

There is no particular reason why the Bid Dominant colors and the Ask Dominant colors are the same with the Large Volume Trade Indicator study. That's just how the defaults were set. In the next release we have made the ask colors different.

Thank you Would this statement be true then The Large Volume Trade indicator is attempting to identify large aggressive trades, so a large trade hitting the bid is a large aggressive selling trade that is being matched by a passive buyer. The indicator is highlighting market orders, not limit orders. |

Yes. Specifically though the Market order is matching with a resting Limit order. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. If I have 1000 lots in ask ( green) and 10 lots (red) in bid in “number bars “ and 800 lots large trade volume in ask side , what color I have to use ? From the above post I assume that large aggressive buy market orders hitting the ask and it should be marked as green . Am I right I need to interpret who is controlling in both number bars and large trade volume indicator |
