Can't set TC1 as default tool config for a Ray

I'm trying to set TC1 as the default config for the Ray tool. My default is now TC2. I went to Global Settings/Tool Configs -> Ray and the resulting window has TC2 pressed. I click TC1 and OK but next time I go to draw a Ray it still draws the TC2 color I have set.

How can I set TC1 as the default? Thanks

For an understanding of how this works, refer to the documentation here:

I read that section before I posted and I don't see anywhere where it says which tool config is the default for every subsequent use of a drawing tool.

When I select Tools/Ray then what it draws is my TC2. I need it to use TC1 by default. All my other drawing tools default to TC1 except Ray for some reason.

There really is not a default, you just need to choose which particular configuration you want for the active drawing tool through Tools >> Current Tool Configuration.

This is strange because in all the other drawing tools TC1 is the default. If I select a tool and draw with it, it will use the TC1 configuration every time. I can always change to TC2/3/4/whatever after I draw it, of course.

The thing is that for the Ray tool only, TC2 is always the default. Sounds like I'll have to live with it.

Once you change the particular Active Tool Configuration for the Ray tool, Sierra Chart will remember it every time you change back to that particular tool.

Maybe I'm not understanding the steps.

Let's say I draw a ray. Then while the ray is selected I change to another config in Tools/Current Tool Config. Are you saying the next time I draw it it's going to default to that last config I chose? For me the newly chosen config doesn't take effect for next time.

Yes.

Not sure why you would have a problem because we tested this and it does work.
