I have a setup where I have a separate chartbook for each symbol I am monitoring and trading. When I switch between chartbooks the chart and the last price are up to date, but it takes a short while 500ms-2000ms before the market depth data comes in (note that I'm talking about the DOM). The previous market depth levels are still present until the update comes through and they move down. I'm assuming that the market depth feed is being unsubscribed from when I change windows, is there any way this could be changed in the future? I've had this problem with both IQFeed and SC Futures data, so I'm assuming it's a generic thing and not specific to a single feed. Also probably a separate issue (maybe a redraw issue), sometimes I get bad points on my DOM. See http://i.imgur.com/2xiSfht.png . Thanks -B Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-11-18 23:47:47

Your understanding is correct. We can change this. Just give us a little time to think through it. We do know about some little glitches like you show in that image with market depth, and so far it has been very hard to track it down. Eventually we will get it resolved. Symbol was 6BZ3 (british pound dec 2013). It's still having the issue. The artifact seems to show up only occasionally (just watching it and it will appear and disappear), however this appearance and disappearance is always at the same time that a trade occurs, hopefully that helps narrow it down. On a side note, my 6JZ3 (japanese yen december 2013) DOM and chart are quite messed up. The Price Display Format and Tick Size are correct, however the DOM and chart are incorrectly scaled. http://i.imgur.com/modimdf.png (notice the ticks and CV on the chart calculator are incorrect, and the DOM scaling is very off. Perhaps the data is being incorrectly supplied? I'm not sure, let me know! Thanks -B |

We are working on the market depth issue. It may still be another week before we finally isolate the problem. The data multiplier problem with 6JZ3 is solved. Follow the instructions here to get updated symbol settings: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettings After this reconnect to the data feed.
