Does the distribution of a study update reset all user parameters to default values?

I have a number of users running a few studies that I've created and distributed. Some users have modified various study parameter values and set up charts the way they prefer to use them. I'm about to distribute an update for some studies that will enhance functionality, but will this mean that users have to re-do all their parameter settings if the distribution resets them to default values?

No there is no reset which would occur if the study is already added to a chart.
