My previous post was lost somewhere...
Please correct data in historic chart for weekly time frame. I used weekly chart as a base to calculate several studies, as a result of wrong data I got wrong study readouts for almost a year. Weekly chart is showing wrong data for year of 2012 close (difference of 37.75 points of ES FUTURES)
REAL IS = 1420.00, WEEKLY ON SC IS 1457.75
DIFFERENCE IS 37.75
AND PLEASE DONT MARK IT USER DISCUSSION AGAIN.

This is too vague for us to help with. Weekly bars are based upon combining daily bar data from Sunday through Friday.

If there is a problem with the daily bar data, we need to know what Data or Trading service you are using, the very specific symbol, and the specific date. However, we do not believe there is really any genuine problem. More likely that there is a misunderstanding of the particular contract month you are looking at.

In the end, all historical daily data comes from external services. So if there is a problem we have to communicate that over to them. However, we do not know what service you are referring to.

If we mark something as a User Discussion, there is a good reason, because it is outside the scope of our support. Typically issues like these are outside the scope of our support and this is why we avoid them.

I don't know what you talking about because historical chart from your service is wrong, regardless to the service or external data because daily is correct and monthly is correct - why weekly is different? I didn't change any thing - just in chart settings time frame. If monthly is same with daily, why weekly is different???

Check for yourself on your weekly chart - what is your last trade for 2012 on weekly time frame. Will help to understand the problem.

You need to ask yourself why a week would always end exactly on the last day of the year. No need to provide us the answer.

We are happy to have you as a customer, but we have to have our priorities and focus on our development. We are not here to be helping with these kinds of issues beyond what we have said originally.

Not accepting your answer because it has no answer.
If your customer chooses weekly chart as a long term chart to base all studies on it and it has wrong read outs for almost a year because the chart has wrong data don't you think it is anything to do with SC provided data?
In my understanding you can't mix weekly chart with yearly cycle. Daily is correct, monthly is correct, weekly is wrong - no consistency here somehow...

You can focus on your development but only after you have basics corrected..

GPST10,

You are not making any sense....

Even after SC was nice enough here to provide you a clear answer...which you reiterated!
And still persist on the matter?

Let's run this by again

S.C.:

GPST10:

YOUR numbers are wrong GPST10

The last WEEKLY bar close (FRIDAY) IN 2012 is 1384 (FRIDAY, DECEMBER 28 2012)

The next bar does not close until the following Friday in 2013

Perhaps you should use longer term studies on the daily for better accuracy. I do this often and it cleans things up quite a bit..
Unless the last day of the year is a Friday you will be bangin' your head for the rest of your life trying to solve this one!

You guys all correct,
For annual studies can't use weekly chart because overlap occurs, nothing wrong with weekly charts.
I will go with daily or monthly, so there is no overlap.
Sorry for inconvenience I caused.
