Dear Support, May I ask for your advice regarding the following setup: I need to trade two account groups at IB that have separate TWS logins. I am using your realtime data and IB for execution. I have a total of 4 allowed systems to use the same realtime datafeed. Currently I am running two separate SC copies (placed in separate folders - not sub-instances) connected to separate TWS that 'consumes' two data connections. Both copies are running on the same machine. My questions are, can you please confirm that: 1. Is it possible to share the datafeed between these two copies but have them connected to a separate TWS? I tried the New Instance option but that creates a trading connection identical to the Main instance as well (can not connect the sub-instance to another TWS). 2. Is it possible to run a 'main' copy of Sierra that is connected to the SC realtime datafeed and run it as a server then run two separate SCs on the same computer that are connected to the 'main' copy for data only but are connected to separate IB TWSs for execution? If this 2nd option is doable, can you please confirm that only the 'main' instance would use a single data connection (from the available 4) but the 2nd and 3rd instance would simply get the data through the DTC server and this does not count in the total allowed 4 connections? Thanks for your advice in anticipation! |

Since you can set the TWS API port to be different for the two TWS instances wouldn't that solve your problem User3500666 ? eg have your first SC instance in Folder 1 with SC datafeed set to on and say TWS port at 7496 and then match that port in your first TWS instance in the global settings - API then have your second SC isntance in Folder 2 with SC datafeed set to an and say TWS port at 7497 and then match that port in your second TWS instance Just a suggestion |

Thank you Acro for your suggestion. I am already doing that. My question was and my goal is to run these two instances without the need to use 2 of my 4 allowed total datafeed count but use 1 datafeed for both at the same time. Since the service is the same (surely the login details differ) and I use SC data for both instances. I need to run multiple SCs locally and remotely with real-time data. |

Have a look at this feature here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/MultipleServices.html#AccessingMarketDataFromOtherInstancesOfSierra%20Chart If this 2nd option is doable, can you please confirm that only the 'main' instance would use a single data connection (from the available 4) but the 2nd and 3rd instance would simply get the data through the DTC server and this does not count in the total allowed 4 connections? Hi I’m also having issues getting multiple IB accounts set up. I’m trying to link two different IB accounts running TWS on different computers and two different Sierra charts being ran on different systems as well but using the same Sierra account login. I’ve changed the port number on both versions of Sierra but for some reason on the other copy real time data doesn’t update. It just doesn’t show price moving up or down. Whenever I close one version of Sierra the other seems to work. I’ve got the M showing next to the symbol on both versions of Sierra. I’ve tried looking at how to setup multiple instances of TWS but had no luck getting them to both show real time data. Any help would be much appreciated
