Hi, I have "Chart Trade Mode" on and IB's live account connected, I have encountered this issue a few times in past 2 weeks, this is something new to me since last week and frustrating. What happened is if the price moved few ticks away right at the moment I sent market order (from Sierra Chart to IB), then the order was pending for quite a while before it got filled. I am just trading one contract of ES during day session, so liquidity has never been a problem. Also, it have never happened if I traded directly in IB's trade window. Wonder if it's a new feature or there are settings I can configure? Thanks |

So this is an actual market order? And not for example a limit order at the ask or bid price? We have never heard of a problem like this before. We know that there can be problems with order status related issues with Interactive Brokers but not submitting a market order that just doesn't get filled. This is not anything we hear about. What you should do is look at the Trade Activity Log: Trade Activity Log: Viewing Historical Trade Activity Locate that market order and ensure the Order Type is actually Market. Initially the Status will be Order Sent and then within milliseconds it will go to Open. If it did, then it has been acknowledged by Interactive Brokers TWS. So you then need to ask Interactive Brokers why it did not fill right away. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
