I'm looking for functions to calculate the skew and kurtosis of a range of values in a spreadsheet study. From review of the 'Available Functions' section on SC's Spreadsheet Functions page, I do not see either, but they are available in Excel, as shown in the page which your reference links to:

What would be the most expedient way to gain access to such calculations, as it stands now with a SC spreadsheet?

The only thing we can say is there is a kurtosis study that Sierra Chart has:
Kurtosis

Which can be based on other studies.

Although it is going to be changed in the next release because the prior math it was using was not correct. So you will want to wait before using it.

SCE,
Thank you. So regarding skew (and kurtosis until the next release), is it appropriate to deploy a calculation within ASCIL instead?

Yes. Absolutely. This is why ACSIL exists, to allow users to create studies to perform functions that may not exist inherently within Sierra Chart.

You will find the start of the documentation for ACSIL here:

Hi Chad, did you ever manage to get Skewness in a study? I would really appreciate know the ACSIL code if you could share?

Thanks
Matt
