I have created a custom intraday file with the following format: Date, Time, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume (Header is optional for Intraday data) Text/CSV Data Format see the attached screenshot Input Dataset pdf (note that the "ticks" are 1 per hour) the import of such file into SC works fine. However if I try to create a custom drawn volume profile it works weird - ie too coarse grained (even though I did set the granularity of the profile to 1 tick) - ref the attached second screenshot and btw I also get the same weird volume profile when the custom file is Daily (and has the same internal format as the one above) so what is going on ? We really need to get this data file from you and also the Chartbook with one single chart with the Volume by Price study on it and we will have a look at this. please find all requested files attached. the data in the attached custom CSV file is with hourly frequency. It imports correctly in SC. Moreover the bar volume study looks ok. However the custom volume profile draw study produces too coarse grained volume profile - too coarse grained for Hourly data that is - ref the attached chartbook and the screenshot

You need to change the Tick Size of the chart to match the smallest move of the data in your .csv file. In this particular case, you use 4 significant digits after the decimal place, so you would want to change your tick size to 0.0001. Refer to the following for how to change the Tick Size for the Chart: Chart Settings: Tick Size (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
