Looking to attach orders that have targets x Ticks away from the average entry price rather that x ticks away from the individual entry price. This would be similar to muticharts setup. Is this doable out of the box in SC? FYI, AMP/CQG demo user. |

Have a look at: Order Types: Send Attached Orders - Position/Price You can send attached orders based upon the Position Price and the average price of the Position can be calculated several different ways: Trading Information Windows: How Average Price for Positions Is Calculated and Used Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thank you for the help. But I am assume, perhaps incorrectly, that the send attached order by position is a right click command needed to be sent after a position exists. Can this be done automatically every time I open a position thru the chart trade window while send attached orders is checked, similar to by price? Is there only a manual option? Edit: I did find the send attached by position in the trade window. But how to get my entire position including all previous attached orders to be x ticks away from the Avg price, not just the latest. I am using flat to flat avg entry price, with scaling in enabled. You will want to use Attached Orders: Attached Orders And make sure they are enabled when you submit an order. You probably will want to use Scale In: Attached Orders: Scaling In And it sounds like you are going to need to modify those attached orders to be at the price levels you want after scaling in. This is not going to automatically happen. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Ok, thanks. At some point in the future i will investigate in creating a study that tracks x ticks away from entry avg price and then manage trade by study. Hopefully that will work as there isn't enough time at market open to do it manually, at least not without fumbling.
