Hello SC, something's off with SC under Linux.. I am aware that this might not be supported and what not, though i thought i let you guys know. If you might be able to do a little bit to fix it, it would be great. If not, so be it.. 1. P&L calc shows weird things in the trade window while it calcs correctly in the trade activity log... it gets weirder trade by trade.. 2. it does not draw order connecting lines.. i see the triangles but no lines and yes they are enabled. see screenshots thanks, Andreas |

This is explained in detail on this page: Help With Daily Profit/Loss Value Make sure you read that entire page and understand all of the details explained. Regarding the connecting lines for order fills, refer to: Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Resolving Problem Where Order Fill Entry/Exit Connecting Lines Do Not Display Maybe a color setting is not right. Hello SC, thanks for your reply.. i've read that page a couple times and cant find an explanation for this issue... the same setting worked under windows, i then saved the entire directory, installed linux restored it and run it on linux now.. same with the connecting line.. its no color setting issue... but while i was working on it i figured that all "dot" drawing styles are not working while solid lines seem to work.. at the same time i figured why the P&L calc is screwed... see attached screenshot, it does some wild trade matchings which dont seem to change when i switch to another fill matching mechanism.. is there a way to fix that? |

There is no order fill mechanism which can be changed. We have no idea what you are talking about. Anyway the documentation is very thorough. So at this point we are declining further support. How this works is very very well documented. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. please look at the rth chart.. its a 1min day session only chart from the same time period which shows all my trades correctly.. though at the same time that 5min 24h session chart from above (i've attached it again as eth_wrong) shows me weird fills and thinks i have carried on any positions from the prev day, which i have not coz i am flat when the market closes.. so it CAN NOT BE that there are carried over positions from yesterday. the rth chart doesnt show them either, which it should if there were any... i dont want support, i want you to fix the issue or tell me whats wrong with your software. |

In regards to post #6 you need to make sure that the Order Fills Start Date-Time is the same between those two charts: Chart Settings: Order Fills Start Date-Time (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu) And that they use the same Open Position Quantity Average Price calculation method: Chart Settings: Open Position Average Price (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu) This is point-blank simple to resolve assuming there are no missing order fills for the current position. i dont want support, i want you to fix the issue or tell me whats wrong with your software. Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Accurate Entry/Exit State, Fill Matching and Position Quantities Trade Activity Log: Open Quantity Field Calculation Method (Open Quantity Field Calculation Method) We should not have to be responding to any of this. The answers are right in front of you. And if you think we are going to stare at those images and try to comprehend exactly what you are showing us, you are mistaken. We are finished in this thread. We are declining further support. You are only wasting your time. You need to read the documentation. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. We realize the instructions at step 21 here were not necessarily going to work in all cases when trying to get a match with the Daily Profit/Loss between a chart and the Trade Activity Log. A better explanation has been given: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/DailyProfitLossValue.html Refer to step 21. And also the screenshot is not following the instructions in that documentation: https://www.sierrachart.com/Download.php?Folder=SupportBoard&download=23583 For example you still have the Use Commission setting enabled and you did not select a particular Symbol and Trade Account. These last two items, are a major item and why you cannot expect to have a match. You should also select to display the PL in Points both on the chart and the Trade Activity Log to remove additional complexity with potential inconsistent settings like the Currency Value per Tick.
