Hi, I wish to download dividend adjusted data. I enabled "Download Dividend Adjusted Historical Data" in the Global Data/Trade Settings window. Then, in the Edit menu, I selected Delete All Data and Download. I received the message "Downloading Historical Data" so I know my request was communicated. I then disabled "Download Dividend Adjusted Historical Data" in the Global Data/Trade Settings window and tried to Delete All Data and Download. Again, I received the message "Downloading Historical Data". I attempted this procedure a number of times for symbols AAPL, MSFT, and IYR, all of which paid dividends in the past 12 months. Examples: AAPL Dividend of .73 on 8/10/2018 MSFT Dividend of .42 on 8/15/2018 IYR Dividend of .782 on 9/26/2018 In no case was there any change to the chart. Are there other settings in Global Data/Trade Settings or elsewhere that I need to change to enable dividend adjusted historical data to download successfully? |

This appears to be a problem on our side and it is now resolved. Please test again by re-downloading the data in the chart. Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart. I just tried this procedure with the GE stock, and I am getting identical data even though GE had a number of dividends. Is there some explanation for this? |

Make sure you are running the current version of Sierra Chart: Software Download: Fast Update And fully re-download the data in the chart: Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. I upgraded to Version 1991 and tried again. Yes, I was already redownloading the data after changing the Download Dividend Adjusted Historical Data setting. After trying with MSFT, the daily data is identical except for today's last price. In both cases it agrees with Yahoo dividend adjusted data. So I guess I can use the Daily data together with Intraday Historical Data to get the adjustments. However, this appears to be a bug: the Download Dividend Adjusted Historical Data setting is having no effect. |

The dividend adjustment option definitely does work for historical daily data . Here is a weekly chart of GE with dividend adjusted data: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1570124143221.png Here it is again without dividend adjustments: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1570124088314.png We did try MSFT and noticed no change though. We are not sure why. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. Well, it doesn't work for me. I tried a couple of times with GE, deleting the old historical data each time, and the dividend adjustment option is having no effect. In both cases, it looks the same as your chart without dividend adjustments. Also MSFT didn't even work for you. Please fix this, or else I have to find the adjustment data elsewhere. |

We cannot control this or do anything to "fix" this. This is managed by our data provider. Please consider dividend adjusted historical daily data fully unsupported by Sierra Chart in your particular case. You will have to get the data elsewhere.

OK, thanks for the info. I will find the adjustment data elsewhere. Though I'm not sure of the significance of "...unsupported by Sierra Chart in your particular case."? It seems to be simply unsupported by Sierra Chart, since it is managed by the data provider. |

We say in your particular case because we do not see any problem with GE. But you do. So we are just referring to this being in your particular case at least in regards to that symbol.
