I downloaded sierra chart but am unable to log in. I receive the message "logon error received from server". I have disabled all firewalls to make sure that isn't an issue. I am using the free trial version via a demo account with SMB capital.

Can you try again and on the Login window enable the "Force Login" option. Let us know if you still have a problem.

I have resolved the issue and am now able to log in but I cannot change the simulation mode settings per the requirements from SMB and the "connect to data feed" button is greyed out so I'm unable to use it. Can someone please give me a call to help resolve these issues. Thank you.

You need to disable Trade Simulation Mode: Overview of Trading: Difference between Simulated and Non-Simulated Trading Modes This is all. If Connect to Data Feed is disabled it means there is a connection to the server. So that is correct and nothing to be concerned with.
