Hi everyone, I've tried several things out and it's confusing me a lot. It seems that SierraChart is not working well with trading via Simulation paper-trade account in IB. I know that for the moment Bracket Orders will not appear in TWS. That's not the issue for me right now. Of course I want this but I understood you are working on. Can you confirm if this is indeed the case. I mean SC and TWS are not working well in simulation mode/paper-trade account IB. I have also tried many things with changing the client ID but not succeed. I tried setting 0 and other settings. With the Live account the orders placed in SC are working in TWS, however no OCO for Profit and Loss for the moment. But when I placed the orders directly in TWS I don't see these orders in SC.......so, not vice versa. Very confusing! Please, help me! vfr750 |

Make sure you have Global Settings >>Data/Trade Service Settings >> More Interactive Brokers Settings >> Use IB Managed OCO Orders enabled. As long as the Instance setting is set to Client ID 0, you should see the orders entered from TWS in Sierra Chart. Does anyone else notice a problem with this? A trivial question: When you're using the IB paper account, do you have SC switched to live and not SIM mode?! |

You have to believe me. I tried everything and it looks if Live account is working, however without OCO. Of course I set USE IB Managed Orders. Papertrade account is not working at all, no order fill in TWS. The instance setting was set to Client ID 0. See also Use IB managed OCO and bracket orders is ticked, but only the entry order shows up in TWS

SC Engineering, I have run some tests and the problem described for User 72822 is happening with me too. The orders (Both Entry and attached Target / Stop) submitted from TWS or from another SC instance that not the one set to "Client ID 0" are not showing in the instance set as "Client ID 0". The instance set to "Client ID 0" just shows the open positions, not the pending orders (attached oco or others). Please take a look at this issue when possible. Thanks. SC Engineering, For the record, Papertrade account is working well now, I mean the same as Real Account. I've made a mistake, sorry for that but as User30668 said, only the parent order is submitted in TWS, not the contingent or OCO attached orders. Thanks! |

User 72822, The attached orders just become active in TWS after the position is open. This is the way SC works to avoid problems with TWS. What SC version are you running? Thanks. |

Hi user 30668, Maybe I don't understand but I will try again. I just downloaded version 1039 of SC. I will try following in Papertrade account IB. LMT order on ES with DOM ladder SC and attached a simple Bracket. I am very curious. As I understood you are telling me that when the position is open I see the attached orders, right? I let you know. Thanks, I appreciate. |

We really have no control over whether you will see orders or not in Sierra Chart if they are entered from TWS or another program when using Client ID 0. Only Interactive Brokers controls this. If you do see the orders, then this is good. If not, we cannot help. For an understanding of how Attached Orders work and when they are submitted to the trading service, refer to: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_AttachedOrders.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
