Is there any way to call an external API from a c++ ACSIL study? I trade futures and setup some entry buttons to click to create my orders. I'm currently using a forex broker that does not support Sierra but has an API. I would love to be able to use the charting platform to call the API to simply create my orders with a click of a button like I am used to. Thanks, |

Yes you can. You create an ACSIL study using C++ so you can do whatever you require and you have full access to the Windows API as well.

Is there any way to manage a position via sierra charts chart trading? like I call the API to open a position and then make the position / order lines and be able to change them on the chart to produce other API calls etc? Would love a link to the docs on how to accomplish that. Working on a big project I'm excited about. Thanks! You guys are the best. |

You really need to create a DTC trading server and use the DTC client within Sierra Chart to accomplish this:Data and Trading Communications (DTC) Protocol Test Client Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
