Correct symbol format for an option contract with thinkorswim?

Hi, Can you please tell me what the correct symbol format for an option contract with thinkorswim is? I see the format for most other types of contracts but not for options. Thanks. |

We cannot help with this. We do not think you can use option symbols with TD Ameritrade. And we do not think their system is going to provide data for those. You would need to use Interactive Brokers instead.

We cannot get involved in this. Sierra Chart uses the TD Ameritrade API and we are not going to provide support for options through that API. Based on prior feedback, there is a problem that API has with options and we are just not going to provide support for that interface any longer. However, this is the documentation we have for the options format: For stock options, this is an example symbol format: VMF Jan 22 2011 25.0 Call. The letters are case-sensitive.
