Hi, I am new to SC and have started creating custom charts. I see how to save Chartbooks yet for some reason I cannot find (through search) or in the menu system how to save individual charts. And if I can rename upon saving the individual chart so that when I go to File>Open/New Intraday Chart it is there to be seen. Thanks |

There is not a way to save an individual chart. You can only save the entire active Chartbook and that is explained here: Chartbooks (Workspaces): To Save a Chartbook Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thanks... then why does it say file open/new (as if there is an option to open an existing chart). When I do that there is one chart there.. appears to be a default chart. But it looks like there could be more.

The File >> New/Open Historical/Intraday Chart commands are applying only to the chart data file itself. Not to any of the settings. You can use an existing chart as a template though for new charts. So I can create a template chart for say three different types of chart with differing settings? If so How do I save those templates so that when I go to File>Open/New historical/Intrady chart I will see them each. This is what I am confused about.

What you can do is duplicate any existing charts you have in a Chartbook by following the instructions here: Using Chart Templates: Duplicating Charts / Template Charts Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
