Good day SC support, How do I add to my position and get my stop order's qty to include this added position? Sequence of my actions 1. Placed a buy limit order with 1 Stop using an attached order for 10 Qty. 2. Ensured scaling in is on under M->Scaling In 3. Placed a buy limit order of 10 Qty (Use Attached Orders ON) 4. New buy limit order gets filled. My position is updated to 20 with new avg price. 5. Stop order's qty remains at 10. How do I get the Stop order qty to automatically update to 20? Thank you in advance. |

We tested this and the Scale In does increase the quantity of the Stop order. Make sure you have enabled Scale In on the correct Trade Window: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Trade Window Settings Not Applying to Chart or Trading DOM (Trade Window Settings Not Applying to Chart or Trading DOM) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Hi, Apologies. I got the scenario wrong. This is the sequence. 1. Placed a buy limit order for 10 Qty. 2. Targets-> Add a stop with stop offset 1.00 3. Checked "Use Attached Orders", change order type to "Send Attached Orders - Position" 4. Ensured scaling in is on under M->Scaling In 5. Placed another buy order for 10 Qty. Order gets filled to 20 Qty but Stop Order remains at 10 Qty. Thanks! |

You cannot Scale In with that scenario. You need to have set the Attached Stop order before you submitted the original Limit order.
