re Data Export options in SC, there seem to be two: a) Export Bar and Study Data to text file b) Excel Spreadsheet study, whose excel spreadsheet can then be saved to text file my question is whether a) and b) are equal on terms of the completeness of the data exported ie is every data point (bar and studies) exported in each case? in terms of dataset sizes, obviously a) should have advantages due to lack of limit on number of rows like in excel spreadsheet ? |

that's really great and shows how well SC is designed. one final question here is whether the data generated by the following Feature which is specific to the Excel Spreadhseet Study can also somehow be incorporated / used in "a) Export Bar and Study Data to text file"? Not necessarily through the Excel Spreadhseet study - just asking for a way to have the same data exported when using option a) above ====----- Output Volume at Price Data [Link] - [Top] When the Output Volume at Price Data input is set to Yes, then the trade volume for each price level for each chart bar is outputted to the corresponding Sheet in the Spreadsheet, used by the Spreadsheet study. The data is outputted beginning at column BA. Refer to the image below. Each row of data outputted by the Spreadsheet study to a Sheet represents one bar in the chart for the time period of the bar. The first row of the Volume at Price data at Row 2, are the prices which have volume data. So each column represents one price. At each row in a particular column for a price, is the volume for that price for the particular chart bar the row is for. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-08-18 10:07:25

hello I repeat the question - when using the SC menu option "a) Export Bar and Study Data to text file", what is the way to output/export the trade volume for each price level for each chart bar

re: "documentation out of date", 1) has this been updated yet (6 months later)? The reason I ask is because "Output Volume At Price Data" is not working the way the documentation describes. Per the documentation, row 2 is supposed to be populated with the price level. I am using the latest version of SC (1875) and nothing is populated into row 2.

NOW the output makes much more sense!!! While it doesn't quite do what I had HOPED, at least now I can deal with it. Ultimately, I am going to have to shake off the rust and code what I need to do in ASCIL.
