I know very well that when using multiple instances, each instance should have its own data folder. The question is, when creating a new instance, is it imperative that I let the new instance download historical/intraday data (that I already have on my main instance of Sierra) from my data service provider (i.e. CQG) all over again OR is it fine if I simply take the chart data files from the main Sierra instance and copy paste them into the second instance's data folder. Copy + pasting is so much faster than having to re-download all that intraday data over the internet through my data service provider all over again so I thought it would be worth asking. Copy/Paste is fine. You may end up copying more than if you downloaded, but you will get identical results.
