Hi, I have my session times on intraday charts set to - start time 00.00 end time 23.59 I have no issues apart from the 240 min chart.

I go to chart settings and set them to the above, the chart re-loads and each new candle starts at 00.00 then 04.00 etc, as required.

Then when I change symbol the times go back to 22.00 - 21.59 so I adjust and change back to the symbol I have just changed and again, its back to 22.00-21.59

Please can you advise as to how I can stop this from happening and have any symbol loaded on that chart set as 00.00 23.59

Thanks

Preventing this is explained in this section here:

Hi, I have done as described however it doesn't automatically apply it to every symbol. when I change symbol the start time is set to 22.00

I then have to click chart settings and would expect clicking apply global symbol settings to change this, when I do this nothing changes so I click edit global symbol settings and change the time zone to gmt+1 set the session time to 00.00 and 23.59

Am I going to have to remember to do this for every symbol I ever look at? I would expect my settings to be set for every symbol I pull up.

thanks

Okay so we understand, you do not want the Session Times to change when you change the symbol of the chart?

Yes that is right. As it is and from following the instructions I still have to go through the process of changing the start time to 00.00 on each symbol. It seams like I only have to do it once. I have gone through the forex majors I trade. I also look at crosses. I just need the start time to be 00.00 on what ever chart I pull up. I thought your original link would have sorted it but it appears not.

I am still having this issue, I have noticed now that when I close SC the next time I open up all charts are set to a start time 0f 22.00 I have gone through the steps outlined and its getting a little frustrating now. I really don't want to be adjusting the start time for every symbol I pull up each time I open the charts

This definitively could not be the case so long as you have saved the Chartbook and reopened that Chartbook. Refer to:
Chartbooks (Workspaces)

It sounds like you want to set your own Session Times for each of the symbols you work with in the Global Symbol Settings. Here are instructions for that:
Global Symbol Settings: Update Global Symbol Settings

Again I have gone through the steps and still have to change each forex pair from a start time of 22.00 to 00.00. I have done this on 5 majors I trade regular. I also look at other crosses I don't really want to go through everyone changing the time from 22.00 to 00.00

surely there is a simple way of setting SC so that what ever chart I bring up the start time is 00.00

We need to therefore know exactly what you did. Did you go to Global Settings >> Symbol Settings, and select the particular forex symbol you want to alter the Session Times for, and set those on the Intraday tab? Tell us what you did.

And tell us exactly what you set them to including the time zone. And tell us the symbol. Or you can provide a screenshot of that window.

Those are the wrong symbols. Do not use the ones with the ^ character.

Once you update the Session Times in the Global Settings >> Symbol Settings for a symbol, they will not be automatically applied to existing charts. You will need to follow the procedure here:
Global Symbol Settings: Update/Apply Symbol Settings to Charts

Again, following the steps in this link which I have already done. Clicking apply symbol global settings does nothing I have to click edit global settings and do it that way.

Forget it I will just manually change the times on every symbol I bring up. something I would expect to have to do

Okay we realize why the documented procedure is not working applying the Session Times to the chart.

You need to enable:
Global Settings >> Symbol Settings >> Apply Intraday Session Times to Intraday Chart.

Once you do that, this will work:
Global Symbol Settings: Update/Apply Symbol Settings to Charts

However, any new chart is going to always use the set Session Times. That is going to work definitively without any particular configuration.
