I have two questions. 1.) Please see the attached picture. I have the volume study set to display on chart region 1. You can see the "Scale" settings I have in the picture. If you look at the pic, notice the yellow line with the arrow. I would like to make this area the top of the range for the volume, so it's only displayed on the lower part of the chart. I have played around with the scale settings, but have not found a way to do this. 2.) Is there a way to make this volume study transparent? The same way you can set transparency with VbP studies? Thank you. |

1) use "User Defined" I just played around with my volume study and set it to "Top: 1500 Bottom: 0" and it looked pretty good, you can change the settings 2) i don't believe so unless you are fine with using "Trans Fill Rect Bottom" but it wont look the same as a bar and you can set the transparency % in global settings > graphics settings > other > transparency level for fill styles http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1382143177476.png edit: just realized it only works correctly with "User Defined" when you have the main price graph scale set to "constant range" ... well there's my 2 cents Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-10-19 00:41:10

1. Not possible or cannot think of a way to do this. 2. No. And transparency is not good. It is CPU inefficient and does not always work well. And there is an option in the Study Settings window to display the study underneath the main price graph. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Trade2Day, Thank you! That worked perfectly and gave me exactly what I wanted. I always use constant range. I did, however, have to use a higher number than 1500. I had to go up to 200,000. Yes, 200,000. Thanks again. I've been trying to figure this out for weeks. Sierra Chart, Thank you for the suggestion on displaying the study underneath the main price graph. I now have this setting enabled, but the study is still showing above the main price graph. Any suggestions? Forget the transparency, this is exactly what I need if you can help me get it working. |

Yes thank you Trade2day1. I enabled that option. However, the volume study is still showing above the price bars. Not working.

i see why, you are using a custom study called "Better Volume" it is likely something to do with how they coded it, i am not a programmer but that is why see this one as well |

Wow you are fast with those screen shots! Okay thank you for that. I see that it's a issue with the indicator now. Thanks again Trade2day. You have been very helpful.

We will have a look at the code for Better Volume and see why it does not display underneath the price bars when that option is enabled.
