IZ(U18) (exp Sep) is Futures contract on Spanish Gov Bonds ("BONO") traded on EUREX. Barchart.com does provide data for them. But IZ don't seem to be mapped in SC. If I enter manually IZU18 in SC, I do get market data from Barchart.com through SC. But the problem is that SC does not produce Continuous Contract for such "un-mapped" instruments - it is only possible to get market data for specific Futures contract which obviously covers only specific 3 month period at a time.

Continuous Contract is enabled - Date Rule Rollover

Is that the case and if yes then is there a quick workaround for it?

ok thank you. please also note that there are several types of Futures contracts on the Spanish Government Bond (BONO) - it is good to map all of them like for the e.g. 4 or 5 types of Futures on the German Gov Bonds

We are still working on adding the missing symbols but we have IZ?## added now.

Follow the instructions here to update the Symbol Settings:

I updated the Symbols,. But still if I enter manually "IZ?##" in Chart Settings / Symbol (can not be added by double clicking it) nothing happens - SC doesn't get any futures contract data not even for one quarter not to mention a continuous futures contract

That is the symbol pattern. The current symbol will be IZU18.

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download".

I am not interested in the "current symbol" - I am interested in either a symbol for continuous contract (there are such from other market data providers) OR if SC starts piecing together IZ as continuous contract - see the beginning of this thread. That's still not working

We did test the Continuous Futures Contract feature with IZU18 and it does work properly. You just need to follow through the instructions here:

yep works on my side too

just for future occasions - if a futures contract is not yet mapped in SC, but offered by Barchart.com, is there a short cut (e.g. a special symbol format) to get its continuous contract and while still benefiting of the non-price adjusted / price adjusted options in SC ?

You need to add Symbol Settings for the symbol pattern and configure the Rollover settings. This is all documented here:
