Ratio Study Question

Hello,

I´m terrible at math and programming. My doubt is:

Are the values we get in the ratio study (and the ratio charts for instance, the UDVR (up down volume ratio chart from market internals) in that 2:1 (3:1, 5:1) format? You just thought there was no need to add the :1?

Because I was watching some videos on youtube about market internals and in all of them they are using thinkorswim, they have for example the market breadth chart opened which gives the net value, but they have some kind of study or indicator overlay that also gives in this ratio format like "3:1" or "1.3:1".

What I´m trying to say is:

Is it safe to assume that the ratio value that I get from the UDVR chart at sierra (which only gives me the value like this: 1.80, 2, 3.5, 10, 20.6... etc... It´s the same thing, they just don´t have the ":1" after them, or I have to use another study to convert to that format?

Thanks

The calculations are explained here:
Sierra Chart Market Statistics: Symbols

It is just a simple ratio.

Alright I understand that, but I Checked all websites that explains ratio and I still don´t understand why the ratio charts and studies only give whole numbers and decimal values, not a fraction (or A:B format). Can you please just answer "yes" or "no" to my original post? It helps with my thinking.

If the answer is No, so how can I make Sierra display the ratio in A:B format, is it possible? Attached an image.

We can only say that UDVR for the specified index or exchange is calculated as UVOL24H / DVOL24H. And it displays two decimal places.

We will not provide any further response.

The Ratio study outputs a value that is equal to n:1 but it's not supported to display the value in that format.

There is no native study that can convert it to that format at every bar, or in the Y axis. It would require a custom ACSIL study.

However, you could display that format for the current bar only, using the Text Display for Study study by setting the 'Suffix Text For Display Value' to :1
