Hi,

I've noticed when scanning through FX pairs on a daily timeframe (historical chart) that some pairs print the new daily candle at 2200 (UK time) and others at midnight (UK time). I can't see any differences in settings but I would like all the FX pairs to print the new candle at the end of the NY session (2200 UK time). I don't understand why I am experiencing this difference on the same daily historical chart. Amy help appreciated.

Thanks.

Correction to above....I have found that if I click 'Download data from end of chart' the new daily candle appears for those crosses where it did not previously. So, the issue is that the new daily candle is not always appearing at the end of the NY session. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this would be appreciated.

Hi,

I've updated the symbol settings as suggested above, however, I am experiencing the same problem - some FX pairs print the new daily candle at 10pm UK time and some at midnight UK time. Is there anything else I can do to correct this?

Thanks.

LMAX daily chart bars will begin at 17:00 US Eastern time assuming there is a trade at that time.

Hi,

I've updated the global settings again following SC support previous post but the issue does not seem to have been resolved. Now a black line appears, indicating the new daily bar but I still have to select "Download data from end of chart' to actually show the price action of the new daily bar. Also, the previous days bar only shows the print of the previous days price action from when I last looked at any particular chart, rather than the price action that has happened since I last looked. Again, I have to download data from end of chart to resolve this.

Thanks.

We made a small change which may resolve this and we are also going to monitor this. Make sure your computer's clock is set very accurately. Refer to help topic 38:
Incorrect Date and/or Time Display, Missing Historical Intraday Data, Chart Not Updating

Also, the previous days bar only shows the print of the previous days price action from when I last looked at any particular chart, rather than the price action that has happened since I last looked.
We do not understand this and this does not make sense. All prior chart bars are going to represent the Open, High, Low, Close, from 17:00:00 to 16:59:59 NYT each day. There just simply could not be a problem with this whatsoever.

I have attached a couple of screenshots of what I am experiencing. One shows how the chart looks when first loaded shortly after the daily bar change (just after 10pm UK time). It shows a black line representing the new daily bar but the price action of the previous daily bar is not correct - this bar looks how it did when I last loaded this chart earlier that day. The second screenshot shows what it should look like, i.e. the true OHLC price for that day. I only get this true daily bar after selecting 'download data from end of chart', which I have to do for each FX pair/cfd.

Thanks.

We actually intended to follow-up on this thread. We did correct a problem related to this where the open price was not being set with LMAX.

Also, a new bar is not going to start exactly at 17:00:00 New York time. It will occur after that time when the first trade occurs.

In regards to your most recent post, we understand the issue and we have an idea why that happens and will resolve it. The problem is when a new bar begins, the last bar in the chart from the data file is not up-to-date and it has to be brought up-to-date at that time because it cannot rely upon the current OHLC data from the live feed.

Thanks, SC.

I understand re the new bar and the first trade - I see that if I check back, for example 1hr after the opening time, that the price action of the new daily bar is shown.

Great, thank you.
