I just updated to version 1748 and Sierra chart is not functioning. It just comes up blank and I can't open a chart book. It will let me build new charts.

Restart Sierra Chart and then open one of the existing Chartbooks. Provide a copy of the Message Log after, if the charts you expect to be there are not. I realized this morning that I had installed Bitdefender antivirus software Friday on my computer. It saw Sierra Chart as attack software and blocked it. I have uninstalled bitdefender but Sierra Chart still won't boot and connect. I tried to bring up a backup chart book as suggested in your third reply and Sierra Chart doesn't respond, it just makes a ding sound when I try to click on it anywhere.

Sierra Chart seems to be completely inoperable, it is completely frozen. Should I reinstall it?

Okay this is good. Normally something reinstalling should not be necessary but as long as it is working for you that is what counts.
