Is there a current way to close an open trade, which has not closed due an attached order, based on a predetermined amount of time? If scalping or trading longer term, for example, one has limit order(s) for exiting, or not, and wishes to close the order automatically, no matter where the current price is, based on 30 seconds, or 30 minutes, or 30 hours, or 30 days...you get the idea. |

If you update to the latest release, following the instructions here: Software Download: Fast Update and then go to the Trade Window: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Opening Trade Window for Chart or Trade DOM On the A tab, there is functionality to flatten the positions at a particular time. Yes, thank you, I see it, but... This flattens positions at a specific time, like end of day or example or noon. I am interested in a 'duration' setting for a position, which is a bit different, and simpler for the user to set. Place limit entry order, cancel if not filled after 30 minutes (drop down setting, time, ticks) or Entry order filled with or without attached orders, flatten after 120 seconds (drop down setting, time, ticks) These time and/or tick variables could be added to the order Target tab or the A tab The reason for this 'expiration' function is to recognize time degrades a possible setup, and this functionality would allow the speculator to 'tune' the orders to recognize time.
