Hello, I recently enabled the real-time data feed trial after the CQG issues we worked on in another ticket. I wanted to switch from 1 second data storage to 1 tick storage for access to tick and volume charts; however, there is nothing being downloaded after making the change and deleting the data files. The log shows that it is requesting historical intraday tick data for the instrument, but then says it received 0 records and wrote 0 records. Is this a restriction of the trial feed or maybe not available with service package 3? Thank you. |

Hello, Thanks. I was able to load data for the ES chart. This tells me I need to change all of my charts and quoteboards to match the new symbols from the SC feed. I will do this. How does the remapping of the chart instrument and the symbols at CQG take place when I place an order? Is this handled behind the scenes through the SC feed knowing that I am using CQG for trading? Also, will I have to reconfigure my commissions in to the new symbols? Thanks, Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-05-12 17:43:51

Okay, we are clear on the situation now. Do not change the service from CQG FIX Trading. That needs to be the service and continue to use the CQG symbols. Refer to: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#IntegrationWithTradingServices Once again do not change the symbols and do not use SC Data-All Services as the service. When we answered you previously, we had thought there was a reason why you were using that service. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Okay, I will continue to use the CQG symbols. Everything was working last week until I changed the storage unit from 1 second to 1 tick and tried to re-download the data. My goal is to use the SC data feed for tick based data storage while trading through CQG.

Hello, Thanks. It is working now. Somehow, my SC Data connection was checked to connect on startup and my CQG connections were unchecked. After switching them, everything is working. My log shows the symbols getting remapped and my data is getting stored in tick format. Thank you. |
