Hi, How can I back test all the trades based on price retracement? For example, I draw a price retracement from bottom (100%) at 2013-10-08 03:15:00 to peak (0%) at 2013-10-04:00:00 and a entry trade will be automatically ordered at 78% retracement. Then I draw another retracement from peak (100%) at 2013-10-04:00:00 to bottom (0%)at 2013-10-08 04:50:00 and then a exit trade will be automatically ordered at 78% retracement. I need to know the entry price, exit price, and gain/loss for this trade. Since I am a daily trader, I also need to know this information for my trading period from 2013-09-01 to 2013-10-01. Would you please instruct me or direct me to whoever can show me how to perform this kind of back test? I am willing to pay for the service. Thanks, Van |

You have to create an automated trading system to do this. This is outside the scope of our support to provide specific help with. We can only refer you to the documentation here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_AutoTradeManagment.php However, you cannot base an automated trading system on a chart drawing drawn with a drawing tool. We do not provide remote assistance support for automated trading or back testing. We do not provide live web training either. We recommend contacting one of the developers here to see if they could help you: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartStudyAndSystemProgrammers.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. There was a dictation error in the prior post. We meant to say we do not provide "live web training".
