Is there a way to view balance and equity from sierra? open positions on the chart show 0.00C and in “trade orders and posions” the balance tab is blank. |

Hi engineering, I'm also LMAX user and I need to be able to know my account balance for correct position sizing calculations. If I can grab account balance data by using my own methods, how can I push this data to Sierra Chart? Thanks. |

I obtained the data via API from LMAX. In this way, I can get the LMAX balance to my custom developed position sizing study. This is okay. Is it also possible to update internal Sierra balance value which can be seen through Trade, Orders and positions, balance menu? If yes how? Thanks. |

Is it also possible to update internal Sierra balance value which can be seen through Trade, Orders and positions, balance menu? No, there is not a way to do this unless you provide a full trading server using the DTC protocol.

Thanks for the answer. As I trade on LMAX I enabled Trade >> Use Fill Calculated Positions - Global setting. Afterward, I assume that Sierra might calculate profit and loss statistics internally. Can it also calculate account balance according to this data? If yes, how I can set initial account balance for the live account manually? |

While Sierra Chart does now have this kind of functionality in its core, for calculating the account balance. It is not something that is really set up to be used quite like this or at least it would have to be tested. It is not something we can allocate time to now.
