I use the built-in SC Historical feed to display charts of futures options. There are two ways to define symbols: Method #1 Described here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChart_RealTime_And_Historical_Symbols.php&SymbolsPage=Futures Symbol: HEM7000P Method #2 Using the 'Find Symbol -> Futures Options -> Get Symbols' function Symbol: HEM18 P0700.FUT_OPT.CME Can you please let me know what is the difference between these two methods to display options data? The displayed price is identical but Method #1 gives a much longer history of the same symbol and Method #2 covers CME Group Options only. Also when I display an Option chart with Method #1 format, the price display format is always set to 1 if I use the 'Auto-set from Data Feed' option so I have to manually change it. Can this be changed to automatically display the correct price format? Also, can you advise please, what Symbol format (Method #1 or #2) to use with your SC Real-time feed? Thank you! |

Method 1 is the Barchart symbol format. Method 2 is the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed symbol format and that is what we recommend you use. Can this be changed to automatically display the correct price format? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
