I have found the Murrey Math Study to be a good indicator for reversals. You can add the attached modified Murrey Math study to existing charts. Be sure to check "Prompt to Remove Existing Studies" to your current saved analysis and select "No" when asked to remove existing studies. Hi, be careful when using the built-in version of the Murrey study, because there are very important parts missing from the code what affects the calculation and results in incorrectly calculated levels and improper handling of changes of frames. Generally speaking what you can see when using it are not MurreyMath levels. This is true for 99% of other freely available MM studies too. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-03-25 21:08:29

So what MurreyMath indicator are you using that proves that "99% of other freely available MM studies too." levels are wrong? |

I have my custom study programmed for SierraChart - what previously was created for eSignal, Multicharts and NinjaTrader too. Unfortunately, I had to abandon these platforms because of their serious limitations. I also own Murrey's own official EOD and RT MurreyMath software and discussed the calculations and the method directly with Murrey. So I can do the comparison based on this information. I am working on this study and trading the method since 2006. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-03-26 09:31:07

A side by side screen shot comparison is worth a thousand words.

Sure, here we go - 18 June expiration Nasdaq E-mini futures with the Daily 128 frame: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1522061892763.png Don't get me wrong, I do not want to prove anything. Simply tried to give an advice that if anybody wants to trade the MurreyMath method, the tools used should be carefully checked and the underlying mechanism and rules should be understood. If the built-in and freely available studies/information give a trading edge, that is perfectly fine in my opinion. |

Thanks for the side by side screen shot. Perhaps Sierra will correct the code for their provided MurreyMath indicator. |

No problem, you're welcome. As I know they will not, I immediately contacted them when I planned to migrate to Sierra to ask for the correction/modification, but as they told me the code is too complex and the built-in study was created as a 1-1 port of an external indicator, so they can not give extensive support for that. I really appreciate that they communicated this clearly and frankly, it saved me a lot of time. Already they added some basic improvements based on my request, like rounding to tick size, selection/list of natural/official frame sizes, square width multiplier. But unfortunately, there are also missing parts (functions) in the code, so there is not just simply correction needed but new logic should be implemented/created too. And this is not just the implementation of different Murrey tools (timelines, speed/momentum lines, circles, etc), but the calculation method (for example the handling of frame-shifts) is deficient. So anyway, it is not an easy task... |

Hi ticinotrader. The point you mention is quite alarming. If you're still following this thread by any chance, can I trouble you with a chart of the ES e-mini in Daily 128 and 256 frames? With my thanks in advance. |

Sure, here we go: 128 frame: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1534605545729.png 256 frame: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1534605585452.png Sidenote: these are single expiration charts (18 Sep), not continuous futures contracts. You can contact me in dm if you have further questions. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-08-18 15:26:19

Hi, any new developments? What would be the closest settings to use with the Sierra indicator in order to get a close approximation of the "real" plot?

Hi, I love Murrey math, but I have problem with setting, which I can't resolve. My lines are only in right edge of chart, so when I go back in chart, I don't see Murrey math levels (I can only replay chart to see them, but it is not comfortable). How can I do it to have lines of Murrey math in whole chart? Thank you |

Martina V: Change the Draw Style for each of the subgraphs to Line at Last Bar Left to Right. This will draw the line across the entire chart. Refer to the following: Chart Studies: Line at Last Bar Left to Right (ACSIL: DRAWSTYLE_LINE_AT_LAST_BAR_LEFT_TO_RIGHT) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
