I use Color Bar Based on Alert Condition a lot. I was wondering if it is possible to add to the "Input Data" choices the Volume Point of Control of the Bar, so that if (and only if) the condition is true I could highlight the POC with an arrow or square or whatever. I already know how to highlight it for every bar using the Volume by Price study. Thanks! |

You need to add the Volume by Price study to the chart and then reference the Point of Control Refer to the settings you need to use here: Volume By Price Study: One Volume Profile per Chart Bar For the details to reference the point of control value from Simple Alerts, refer to: Volume By Price Study: Accessing Volume by Price Calculated Values Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I don't think we are talking about the same thing. I do not need to access the point of control to write my alert condition. Rather, if the alert condition is true, I want to put a marker at the point of control. Right now I can choose to put a marker at the High, Low, Open, Last, OHLC Average, HL Average, etc. I would like instead to put that marker at the point of control. Can that option be added? Thanks. |

No, definitely not. That is totally out of the question. But that can be done by referencing the Point of Control value from the Volume by Price study set up as we documented. Understood. Just to clarify, can it be done from an existing study (if so, how)? Or do I have to program it in a spreadsheet or a custom study? Thanks. |
