Dear community, I am deeply indebted to the Sierra Chart community; and I absolutely love this software. I am looking for a way to remind myself to take a break. This was my day: - trade01 = 10% up > "nice.." - trade02 = 20% up > "awesome!!" - trade03 = 15% up > "hmm" - trade04 = 5% up > "hmmmm..." - trade05 = -5% down > "damn!" > Ideally, the daily-loss study would turn my screen RED now, or do something else crazy. - trade06 = -8% down > "Grr." It would be really cool if I could change the colors of the candles to a crazy color, just to remind myself, to take a 10 minute break. Perhaps, I could use the "Color Bar on Alert Condition"? iBurger Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-09-28 10:52:56

update: there is a study called "Trading: Profit/Loss" which display is large letters your current profit. I now somehow need to readout the data and use it.

You can do this with the Spreadsheet Study study. Add the Spreadsheet Study study -give it a name in the Spreadsheet Name field -set the Chart Region to 1 -check 'Draw Study Underneath Price Graph' -set the K(SG1) Draw Style to Background, and choose color On the spreadsheet: -put this in cell K3: =$J$10+$J$45<$H$1*(1-$H$2) -put your acct balance in cell H1 -put your max % loss in cell H2 -format cell H2 for Percentage: ---right click in H2, choose Number Format, choose Percentage, choose 0%. This will color the chart's background when the Open P/L + Closed Daily P/L is n% less than the acct balance. |
