I tried changing my grain chart to fractions and experienced a malfunction in chart trading (both keyboard and mouse). Positions were entered and exited immediately. Does this have something to do with tick size? After the change to fractions, I noticed the volume profile bars were narrow. I checked tick size in chart settings and it was set to zero. Once I changed it to 2/8, the profile bars looked normal again. But, chart trading was still malfunctioning. Please advise. |

Here is a screen shot. It shows two trades. Both trades were market orders. The positions exited immediately by the platform. Is this due to tick size? Also, note that the Volume by Price indicator has very narrow bars. Please advise. Thank you. |

Did you change the Real-time and Historical Price Multipliers for this chart? If so, what are they set to? The positions exited immediately by the platform. We do not know what you mean by this because Sierra Chart is not going to automatically exit a position. For an understanding of what has happened, refer to the Trade Activity Log:Trade Activity Log Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I'm using 100 for the Real-time and Historical Price Multipliers. Regarding the position exits, this happens after I convert to fractions. It doesn't happen when the chart is in decimal. It seems to be related to the conversion. I'll check the Trade Activity Log to see how it enters the orders when in fractions. |

OK so in this case the Tick Size for the chart should be set to .25.. And you need to use a Price Display Format of .01. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
