Trouble connecting to IB/TWS

Have a SC instance connected fine to IB via the IB Gateway API. When I try to connect the same SC instance to IB's TWS it fails to connect. TWS settings are the same as IB Gateway settings. Can't understand why the error. Log says: Interactive Brokers | Connecting to 127.0.0.1:7496 | 2018-02-06 20:27:14 Socket (1302) | Creating socket. | 2018-02-06 20:27:14 Socket (1302) | Connecting to IP: 127.0.0.1. | 2018-02-06 20:27:14 Socket (1302) | Connect event error. Went through those steps before posting. At the end it says "If there still is an error connecting, then review help topic 1.5.". Topic 1.5 is Contacting Support for Connection Help. Hence my post.

Problem resolved. Had to disable SSL connection at the time of logging into TWS. Thanks.

OK this is interesting. We have never known that to cause any problem with the TWS socket API.

Hello , I've just purchased the real time data feed and the package 11. I've also installed the interactive brokers getaway and followed all the steps, but it is not working.
