I have set up a DTC server and DTC client. In the past I did have an SC instance ("A") connected to TWS and that instance saved the symbol intraday data. I had another SC instance that had charts ("B") and the charts got their data from A. No data seemed to be saved in B, B just showed the data. I thought it would be the same with the DTC server and DTC client but it seems that the DTC client does get the data from the DTC server, but the data is saved in both the DTC client and DTC server? Maybe I have done something wrong? I mean that I had thought the point of two instances was to reduce processing for the chart instance ( and maybe not saving data was part of that processing reduction). It would be good to get your comments on my points... Thank you |
