I need to get this problem resolved. basically, i leave sierracharts on all the time and on occasion internet goes down in the middle of the night while computer is windows 10 locked. I have 2 spreadsheet studies on my chart using stack/pull DOM data. When i return to desk in morning, dom data since the disconnect/reconnect, is all 0's until the sierrachart screen is looked at. any suggestion as to why dom data goes missing after disconnect?

Yes we do remember this from before and we did follow-up with a question related to how this problem can be reproduced.

How are you doing this?:
I have 2 spreadsheet studies on my chart using stack/pull DOM data.
A spreadsheet can use the Depth of Market Data study but cannot access the stacking and pulling data.

And in general, from our perspective trying to understand exactly what you are doing and what the problem is really next to impossible. It inherently also makes no sense why it would occur but then again we probably are not understanding it clearly anyway. We would need to get the chartbook and Spreadsheet, and a documented method to reproduce.

Is there an update to SC possibly giving Spreadsheets access to pulling/stacking data? I realize this is a 3 plus year old thread, thanks in advance

You can access pulling/stacking data using the 'Depth of Market Data' Study with Spreadsheets

@Mistic

How many levels are available in that study?

You do not have to wait for us to do this. Refer to:
ACSIL Programming Concepts: Direct Programmatic Interaction with Spreadsheet Sheets

And refer to:
ACSIL Programming Concepts: Programmatically Accessing Historical and Current Market Depth Data

Develop a custom study to accomplish what you need with Spreadsheets. Do not wait for us. You probably will create something better than we would in regards to something like this.

Referring to post #4, I have done this successfully.

When I clear pulling and stacking data on my DOM, I notice that the corresponding data in the spreadsheet has a lag of around 0.5 to 1 second before they clear (after the DOM).

Does this mean that there is a lag between the display of pulling and stacking data in the spreadsheet vs the DOM?

Given the nature of how the "Depth of Market" study shows the information in the spreadsheet, we are wondering how you are viewing the clearing of the information, as the flow of the data is fairly constant, so it is very hard to tell that there has been a reset.

I have been experimenting during outside regular trading hours when the market and pulling/stacking (PS) is very slow. DOM PS might change every 30 seconds. I think this is what happens:

1. The DOM accumulates PS data, and those same data appear in the spreadsheet via the "Depth of Market" study
2. I manually clear PS data in the DOM
3. The corresponding PS data does not clear from the spreadsheet, *until* a new PS value appears in the DOM (after it was cleared). At which stage the spreadsheet appears to clear the old PS data and update with the new

This would be the case if there is also no trading at the time, as there is not a reason for the studies to be updated at the time that you clear the Pulling/Stacking. There needs to be another event, such as a trade or new market depth data for the study to be called. Refer to the following:
