Can quantity to order be in a dollar amount divided by price?

Hello, I'm looking for a way to send orders to IB for a quantity that $2,000 would buy. For example, if the stock was $20 then the order would be for 100, if the stock was $40 then the quantity would be 50. To close it, it would have to close the existing position since the stock would most likely be trading at a different price and dividing $2,000 by the new price would not match the opening order quantity. Thanks.

This is not something that is currently supported but longer-term we will look into it.
