I am trying to get an alert when the last trade size is over 49 contracts. I am using the formula =LASTTRADESIZE>49 on the Main Chart Price Graph. I have the formula typed in the Alert Condition box, an Alert Sound in the appropriate drop down box and the Enabled box is checked, nothing else. To me this should play the alert sound whenever a trade over 49 contracts (doesn't happen often) occurs be it on the bid or the ask. This isn't working. If anyone see what I am doing wrong, I would appreciate a reply. Thanks in advance.

To see a visual of your alert, add the Color Bar Based On Alert Condition study, and put the formula on its Alerts tab. Go to Window >> Current Quote Window to see the current actual LastSize, then use a smaller value to see more alerts for this test, e.g. =LASTTRADESIZE>4 To test, scroll the chart back and go to Chart >> Replay Chart The LASTTRADESIZE identifier does not accumulate for the duration of the bar, and it only applies to the current bar. I appreciate the reply but I am really looking for a sound alert. This alert is not on my main screen and I might miss the color change but I know I will hear the sound alert. Do the sound alerts just not work or am I doing something wrong in setting it up?

I was only suggesting you use the color bar study so you can see the alert. You should also hear an sound alert. If you see the bars changing color, you know the alert formula is working. If you don't hear a sound alert at the same time, then verify these settings on the Alerts tab: -'Enabled' is checked -'Alert Only Once Per Bar' is not checked -'Evaluate On Bar Close' is not checked -'Reset Alert Condition On New Bar' is checked -You have chosen an Alert Sound Alert # Go to Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts/General 3 tab and verify a .wav file is assigned to the chosen Alert #. Use Replay Chart to verify it is working. |

The only thing that I have different is I didn't check 'Reset alert Condition On New Bar' and there is a sound way for the alert. I'll try setting the reset alert.

This alert has not worked for 2 days and today it worked once with no changes. I don't think the alerts are consistent and probably can't be relied on.
