Currently there is a problem with the MTGox Bitcoin data feed. It should be back up by this evening.

We are having to recode the interface. For some reason the web socket interface they provide keeps giving us an error. After reviewing the documentation they provide for that interface, it is unclear and a mess.

These other two bitcoin services can be selected through Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings:
Bitcoin data (Bitstamp)
Bitcoin data (BTCE)

The symbols for them can be found under File >> Find Symbol.

check out their json feed. its not as quick to update as the websocket, but tends to be more reliable.

Yes, this is what we will be working on.

However, we are going to try to get the websocket working again.

Yes. This is what we are using now.

The MTGox data feed is back up. However there is no market depth. We are going to get to that tomorrow.

MTGox market depth is now available again.

The next item we are going to work on is the ticker request. This provides data like the daily high and low.

However, you can always see this with a Daily chart.

We have enhanced the market depth by dropping any depth with less than .02 bitcoin and we combine depth levels together if the price difference between them is .005 or less.

Thinking about the market depth further, what we are now going to do is round the depth prices to the nearest .2 and combine all of the volumes that map to that price level. We filter out any depth levels with less than .02 bitcoin.

Let us know what you think of this. We know we have had a lot of feedback on depth previously for improvements to it.

We are also going to increase the number of levels to at least 50 and possibly 100. We are getting close to adding that capability. The data will be delivered extremely efficiently using Insert, Update and Delete operations.
