I'm getting a message limiting my data download to 5yr : see message "Limiting the number of years to download historical data for to 5 years for the continuous futures chart. Reason: Single-digit year in symbol".
Can you increase this data download at all?
I'd like to get more years.

I've done as recommended above, however, for GC / J6 / SI symbols, the system only downloads 3months of data, for the rest, it downloads ranges from 10 to 6yrs. Can you advise why these symbols only download this amount?

Also, just comparing data from downloads via Data source : gain capital with sierra historical feed (fdax) and sierra historical feed only (DYZ17), they are not the same? Can you advise why this is the case?

We cannot answer these questions as presented.

In regards to the question in post #3, follow through the step-by-step instructions here:
Continuous Futures Contract Charts: Using Continuous Futures Contract Charts

If there is a problem, set the chart bars to 180 minutes per bar, scroll to the beginning of the chart, and post an image of one of the charts:

In reference to the data discrepancy : I have set up two separate Sierra chart programs. One is set for a data provider Gain Capital and using sierra charts historical data feed. The other is set for data provider SC Data-All services. I am using futures products data and have all my futures charts set for continuous futures contract - volume based rollover, back adjusted. I need to use the data from these charts on another package external of sierra charts. For the sierra charts using SC Data, I have loaded a DYZ17 and downloaded bar data to text file for a 5 year period. For the other sierra charts using data provider Gain Capital with sierra charts historical data, I have loaded FDAXZ7 (the same DAX product) and have download the same 5 year period. When checking the data from both text files, they don't match at all with each other. I was asking why they don't match up, as I believe the same data from the sierra chart historical data feed is used for both charts DYZ17 and FDAXZ7? When I say they don't match up, I take a date and time and check the OHLC columns for each instance, look at the numbers and they don't match. Can you advise why they don't match?

One is set for a data provider Gain Capital and using sierra charts historical data feed.
In this case the Sierra Chart Historical Data is only used for expired contracts. Not for the current contracts.

The first thing to understand is what contract month and year you are looking at at each point in time. Refer to:
Continuous Futures Contract Charts: Displaying Rollover Transition Times and Contract Months

And there may be differences with the back adjustments. To see what specifically they are, refer to:
