I am trying to overlay a study onto a chart. The objective is to analyse the Percentage Change Since “Retail Trading Hours” [RTH] Open between the emini S&P (ES) and emini Russell 2000 (RTY) 1) I open a chart e.g. ES 5 min I apply the study Percentage Change Since Open www.screencast.com/t/bSHTFYEp 2) then I Open a second chart e.g. Russell (RTY – Futures) I apply the same study Percentage Change Since Open www.screencast.com/t/lscAkPnBdwqR Chart setting are set to same period i.e. 5min and Session time i.e. RTH Both charts have 30days of data 3) On the 2^nd chart i.e. RTY I add the Overlay(Bar) study – Price Overlay does not exist as outlined in the “Help” www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/StudyPriceOverlayStudy.php You will note the settings that I have chosen ChartNumberToOverlay is set to #2 I choose to base it on the Percentage Change Since Open ID 2 I want to display it under the existing study so I choose Region 3 www.screencast.com/t/q72RNhinV When I click OK It Overlays Line On Close Chart of the ES not the Percentage Change Since Open www.screencast.com/t/6gs0kc9Sjo6 4) I remove the Study > Overlay(Bar) www.screencast.com/t/e2AhUBChSqY 5) I repeat the procedure of applying a Study> Overlay (Bar) I select the Chart Number To Overlay as #2 I leave it Based On: <Main Price Graph> And choose the 3^rd Region again www.screencast.com/t/zSxnuHOt This is the result www.screencast.com/t/za2bStNxH The exact same What am I missing – I’ve followed the instructions several times and even tried Overlay(Non Sync) and Overlay(Single Line)? |

We need some time to look this over. Also, we will only accept chart images posted using this method here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#Image We just need a simple explanation of what you want. This is all. We can put it together. That is much easier rather than trying to understand all of this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I want to compare the relative performance of different instruments. The detail, above, was to avoid getting a response directing me to the Help page link. It was trying to emphasize I have read the Help, tried several possible interpretations of that Help and still cannot achieve the objective. So in an ideal world I would like a chart that would contain multiple instruments. Each instrument's graph would be the Percentage Change in value since a specified start point e.g. RTH Open. |

We see you are using CQG and it does use CQG symbols. Follow the instructions here to use it: Chartbooks (Workspaces): Using a Chartbook Provided by Sierra Chart Support Also RTH equals Regular Trading Hours.
