Hello, I have a txt file in the following format:

Date, Time, Close

When I try to import it I get an error message that the file can not be imported.
Is there anything wrong with the format ?

This file does not contain any OHL-Information for Candlesticks. The question
now is, is SC able to generate a Candlestick chart by itself via the time
information available ? If yes, how do I have to proceed, if no, any hints
how I can get a candlestick format that can be used in SC (if only a line
chart data is available).

Thanks a lot in advance.

Sierra Chart can import the data that you want and can generate chart bars from it.

We will resolve this particular error you are encountering.

Although for the time being just close all the charts during an import and update to the current version. That is essential.

Thank you,

is there an explanation somewhere how i have to proceed, if I want
to load a data file in the format "Date,Time,Last", i.e. a line
chart, and show it in candle stick format in SC, so that it is converted
automatically via SC into an OHLC database.

If I only use chart settings and switch from line to OHLC after I loaded
the line chart database, I do not see any candles only a kind of distributed
single small lines.

There is nothing special to do. You just need to make sure the data format is correct. Refer to:
