It seems to me that the non clr version of Sierra uses more cpu and if pushing a button it takes more time before it reacts. It takes longer time to load the charts. Regards Outlander

This is most likely due to the Spreadsheet Study interaction with the new Spreadsheets. We are aware of a performance problem with this and we are working to resolve it this week. This will be resolved and there will be very good performance. The new non-CLR spreadsheets are still considered an early/beta release. You gotta have some appreciation for the scope of creating a spreadsheet from scratch, it's gonna take some time to get it working perfectly.

For this, we need to perform a specific test. We need to get a Chartbook that contains 1 chart and the Spreadsheet file that you are using with the Spreadsheet study. We will then test this. You can privately attach the files here by following these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile Our recent testing shows that the non-CLR version spreadsheets are faster. But there are so many variations with what can be done, that we cannot test everything. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. The data in the chart is lagging at least 10 sec compare to my Transact trading dome. I had not this problem with your CLR versions and I use the same charts in the Non CLR version, Then I right click on the chart the lagging is 4-5 sec. Regards Outlander

We tested the files you sent, but the problem is the files did not transfer properly in the email and they are damaged. Attach them here. They can be attached privately so only we can see them. Just to let you know, we spent a significant time on this. We looked closely at the file. Definitely it is damaged/corrupted in some way. We could not get any usable data out of it. We did implement a change to read as much data as we can from a damaged spreadsheet file. We performed a test where we saved a spreadsheet file which contains data, attached it to the support board and downloaded it again. There was no damage. So this is puzzling why it is getting damaged when you are attaching a file. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. The basic problem is you have a very large number of studies on the chart. Over 200. We will look at this and see what we can do. But please allow us about 30 to 60 days to see what can be done. In general when working with a large number of studies like this, we recommend using ACSIL instead of spreadsheets: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_CreatingDLLs.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Ok, I had no problem with the CLR version. I agree that it is the spreadsheet in the Non CLR versions that is the problem. I am not a programmer so I don't know how to use C++.It would be nice if you can fix it. I like Sierra and would like to use in the future. Regards Outlander.

Outlander hi sorry for interrupting you but no need to know C++ to use ACSIL, imho it is just a macro language or BASIC (use the logic and some rules) so no need to be a programmer just give it a try |

There is no need for new files. We did not ask for those. We are going to be looking into the problem and will be resolving the issue. It will take a while though. Also after removing studies from the chart, you need to go to the Spreadsheet and delete the data that was previously outputted in the study columns starting with AA.
